The Monte Vista Historical Association would like to invite you to our upcoming walking tour “An Architectural Stroll down the Avenue of the Cattle Baron's" May 27.
The tour will take place on King’s Highway starting at Howard street to McCullough. These palatial homes were built for and belonged to prominent San Antonio citizens. Information about some of the owners will be included. Architecturally the tour will focus on a comparison of styles and designs, the architects, building materials and the vocabulary of architectural details which create these historic homes.
Jane Martin, certified tour guide with the professional tour guide association of San Antonio will conduct 2 tours scheduled at 9 AM and again 10:15 AM for one hour each. Tickets are $25 per person. Tours will begin at Howard & King's Highway, concluding at McCullough Avenue.
The tour is completely outside and attendees must be able to walk the tour.
