Our Events

MVHA hosts a wide range of events from educational to social. Below are descriptions of some of the key events that we host throughout the year but we encourage you to check out our calendar to see everything we do.

4th of July Parade & Picnic

Our Annual Parade on July 4th starts at the corner of Lynwood & Howard and continues to Landa Library where we host a picnic featuring a pie contest, hot dogs, ice cream, live music and more!

I Love Monte Vista Party

Our Annual I Love Monte Vista Party is a celebration of our neighborhood on a Sunday in February from 2-4pm. Every year is hosted at a different house in Monte Vista.

Annual Meeting

Meet your neighbors and learn more about updates from the Association on a Sunday in October at the Laurel Heights Methodist Church.

Fundraising Gala

Our Annual Gala helps us raise funds for MVHA. The next event will be held on April 9, 2026. More details to come.

Educational Tours

Spend the morning walking a block or two of Monte Vista to view several homes and learn more about a specific type of architecture like Craftsman or Tudor.

Easter Egg Hunt

Our Annual Easter Egg Hunt is held on the Saturday before Easter at Landa Library. Kids of all ages are welcome to hunt for eggs & win prizes along the way!

Third Thursdays

This long-standing tradition is a way for you to get to meet and mingle with neighbors and local business owners. Hosted in a new home each month, learn about the value of joining the association and all our great work. Check our calendar for upcoming events.

5K Fun Run & Walk

This annual 5K weaves through Monte Vista, showcasing all the beautiful homes in the neighborhood on a Saturday in November. Learn more here.

This annual Holiday Market features local artists and craftspeople and includes live music, children’s events and more on a Saturday in November. Learn more here.
