Wood Window Workshop: Introductory 2-Day Course for Beginners

  • 233 Bushnell Avenue San Antonio, TX 78212 USA (map)

Join the Office of Historic Preservation for their first in-person wood window workshop of 2021! This small, 2-day workshop is intended for beginners with little to no experience with wood window repair.

This course is ideal for both homeowners/occupants and budding contractors alike! If you are a homeowner/occupant, you’ll gain a foundational understanding of how historic wood windows were constructed in San Antonio, what tools and products are used to repair them to last another century, and optimal repair techniques. Prior attendees credit this course with instilling a sense of confidence in communicating with contractors, as well as providing helpful tips on how to be the best stewards possible for older windows!

If you are interested in exploring wood window repair as a career (it’s in HIGH demand!), this is a great primer course.

Event Dates: Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27 (both days required)
Event Times: 8:00am - 4:00pm with a break for lunch (exact times may shift slightly)
Location: Kelso House in Monte Vista
Cost: $150 (includes coffee, breakfast, and lunch on both days)

Please complete the interest form below to be added to the prospective registrant list. They will email you directly with a registration link when you have been removed from the waitlist:
